Abstract generation in progress

The BlackRock ETHA fund now holds over 3 million ETH, with 1.23 million acquired during July’s accumulation cycle.

SEC approval of in-kind redemptions has accelerated ETF inflows, with ETHA alone contributing $223 million in a single day.

The Ethereum ETF market share rises as ETHA nears $30, reducing Bitcoin ETF dominance and signaling institutional confidence in Ether.

BlackRock’s iShares Ethereum Trust (ETHA) has surpassed 3 million ETH in holdings following its latest acquisition of 59,309 ETH on July 29. This increase brings the total assets under management to more than $11.1 billion. The fund has recorded strong accumulation activity in July, with approximately 1.23 million ETH added during the month.

The recent growth reflects steady institutional interest, driven by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s approval of in-kind redemptions for Ethereum and Bitcoin ETFs. ETHA recorded $223 million in inflows on Tuesday, making up more than the total net inflows for all Ethereum ETFs combined that day. Overall, Ethereum ETFs saw net inflows of approximately 58,000 ETH on the same day.

Trading Volume Surges as ETHA Share Price Climbs Toward $30

Amid growing investor demand, ETHA shares witnessed over $1.1 billion in trading volume. The share price has climbed more than 50% in July and is now approaching the $30 mark. The increase highlights strong trader interest and confidence in Ethereum-based exchange-traded funds.

Besides approving in-kind redemptions, the SEC also acknowledged the proposal to allow staking within the BlackRock Ethereum ETF structure. Market analysts expect a decision by year-end. Approval of staking would enable ETF issuers to earn yield by staking held ETH and potentially pass added returns to investors.

Market Share Shift as Ether ETFs Gain on Bitcoin Funds

Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas noted a shift in the crypto ETF market. Bitcoin’s share has declined from 90 percent to 82 % over two months, while Ethereum’s share has increased to 13%. Despite the growth, Balchunas forecasts Ethereum ETFs will likely not surpass 20 percent of total crypto ETF AUM. BlackRock's ETHA continues to account for a large share of new capital entering the Ether ETF space.
