Justin Sun will join Bezos's new space mission

The private aerospace company Blue Origin, founded by Jeff Bezos, has unveiled the crew list for the upcoming space flight on the New Shepard rocket. Among the participants is TRON founder Justin Sun.

In 2021, the crypto entrepreneur won an auction, offering $28 million for a seat on the first crewed flight of New Shepard. The funds were directed to the Club for the Future fund, which supports 19 charitable organizations in the field of technical education.

However, in March 2023, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filed a lawsuit against Justin Sun, accusing him of unregistered securities offerings in the form of TRON and BitTorrent tokens. In April, the crypto entrepreneur was summoned to court, but he did not appear because he deemed all the allegations baseless.

In February 2025, Sun and the SEC filed a motion to suspend the court proceedings to seek opportunities to settle the case. In June, the blockchain project TRON announced plans to enter the American market.

Sun will join a crew of six, including a real estate investor, a businessman, a meteorologist, a venture capitalist, and a participant from the previous New Shepard flight.

Initially, it was expected that San would personally select five companions from the TRON DAO community. However, his representative told Cointelegraph that the crypto entrepreneur did not compile a list of mission participants.

The mission will be the 34th crewed flight of Blue Origin. The launch will be streamed live on the company's website. The exact date has not been announced yet.

Some expect that the event will positively affect the dynamics of TRX. However, the announcement has not yet had any impact on the asset.

According to CoinGecko, in the last 24 hours, the native token of the TRON ecosystem has declined by 1%. At the time of writing, the coin is trading at $0.31, according to TradingView.
