Uniswap CEO: Will expand products and build UniChain, optimizing trade sorting and liquidity experience.
Odaily News Today morning, at the WebX 2025 conference held in Tokyo, Japan, Hayden Adams, founder and CEO of Uniswap Labs, stated during a fireside chat that when envisioning the next phase of Uniswap, we thought that if the encryption world is actively developing Layer 2, we also need to expand and further improve our products to better serve users. We believe that Layer 2 is the best foundation for DeFi - extremely cheap, incredibly fast, and maintaining the advantages of decentralization. During the development process (UniChain), we will communicate with users to understand the issues they face. Specifically, our goal is to build a more full-stack architecture, from a simple front end to the supporting API, and then to a self-built layer for collaboration. One of the most unique new features of Uniswap is the way we sort transactions. We created a fair priority sorting to create a liquidity pool that ultimately brings less value loss for liquidity providers. Users can experience this feature in Uniswap v 4's Hook. The ultimate vision for asset issuers is to create liquidity at low cost on DEXs like Uniswap, leveraging automated strategies without the need to collaborate with market makers. Today, the UX (user experience) of DeFi products is poor, similar to the early stages of the internet, but we are working hard to improve the UI and abstract messaging and data transmission protocols. In addition, I am a staunch advocate of privacy, believing that the encryption industry will move along the trend of decentralization, and decentralized products will also become stronger and more robust.
