Dubai-based investment firm Sigma Capital has launched a $100 million Sigma Capital Fund I, focusing on early-stage enterprises in the Web3 and blockchain sector, according to Jinse Finance.
The fund will invest in decentralized finance (DeFi), blockchain infrastructure, tokenization of real-world assets, games, and metaverse. In terms of investment strategy, Sigma Capital plans to manage a portfolio of liquid token investments and adopt high-yield DeFi methods to increase returns.
Over the next three years, Sigma Capital plans to invest in 100 early-stage projects, 25 utility tokens, and 10 fund of funds. The company also plans to collaborate with Web3 centers in 10 cities worldwide to provide market insights and resources for its invested companies.
