Webus International Ltd. has just signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Air China Limited on September 3, 2025, to implement Ripple payment services (XRP) for 60 million global members of the PhoenixMiles loyalty program.
According to the agreement, XRP will be integrated as a payment method, helping to accelerate transaction speed while expanding the tokenized reward model, providing a higher quality experience for members. This is considered an important step in applying cryptocurrency to the tourism industry, contributing to expanding benefits for customers on a global scale.
However, the implementation still depends on the approval of regulatory authorities. Webus and Air China emphasize that the legal compliance factor will determine the feasibility of the plan.
