In July, the U.S. non-farm payrolls increased by 73,000, with the private sector contributing 83,000. The unemployment rate rose to 4.2% in July. However, the bigger focus is on the revision of previous values: the employment increases for May and June were drastically revised down to 19,000 and 14,000, totaling a downward revision of 258,000 jobs.
