As a blockchain enthusiast, I have recently gained new insights into the development of WalletConnect. Looking back to my first use, the slow speed of cross-chain transactions and high gas fees were indeed frustrating. At that time, WalletConnect claimed to be a 'multi-chain compatible' solution, but the actual experience was less than satisfactory.
However, surprisingly, WalletConnect seems to be continuously evolving. The recently launched version 2.0 is said to have significantly improved performance. According to user feedback, the speed of connecting to DApps has greatly increased, and the smoothness of cross-chain swaps has also been greatly improved. This is undoubtedly a significant step towards a more convenient Web3 ecosystem.
Nonetheless, as users, we remain cautious about some promises. For example, the price volatility of the WCT token is still a concern. In addition, we look forward to seeing the actual implementation of features such as voting dividends on the APC56 chain.
Overall, the progress of WalletConnect is encouraging. It seems to be striving towards the vision of creating a universal protocol for Web3. However, only time will tell if these improvements can be sustained and whether WalletConnect can truly become the preferred tool for connecting the Web3 world. As users, we will continue to monitor its development and look forward to more innovations and improvements.
