BlockBeats News, on July 10th, Senior Analyst Vetle Lunde of K33 Research pointed out on Tuesday that seasonal trends are not helpful for Bitcoin, and the third quarter is usually the weakest period in terms of returns. He added that the seasonal weakness coincides with the sale of seized assets by the German state of Saxony and the ongoing distribution of repayments by Mt. Gox, which puts pressure on prices. According to K33 Research’s estimate, the market will absorb the sale of 75,000 to 118,000 BTC from Saxony and Mt. Gox customers throughout the summer, with a value of $4.3 billion to $6.8 billion at current prices. ‘We expect these fund flows to continue to weigh on Bitcoin performance in the coming months, and market fluctuations will persist until October,’ Lunde said.
