Nanya Technology: Capacity concentrated in DDR4 8Gb expected to rise in Q4 contract prices.

Jin10 reported on September 17 that due to the continued tight demand in the DDR4 market, customers are actively stocking up, leading to significant increases in both volume and price. Nanya Technology expects its operating performance in the third quarter to exceed market expectations. Looking ahead to the fourth quarter, with supply remaining tight, Nanya Technology forecasts that the contract price for DDR4 8Gb is likely to maintain sequential growth. The company has now focused its production capacity on DDR4 8Gb products, where the 1b process is expected to produce a larger total bit volume than the 20nm process, and with improved yield rates, it is likely to further enhance overall profitability. In terms of demand, it is expected that by 2026, about 40% of the server field will still use platforms that only support DDR4. With the support of market demand, the tight supply and demand situation for DDR4 may continue into the first half of 2026.
