According to the Financial Times, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky rejected calls for an immediate ceasefire protocol in Ukraine, saying that if the cessation of hostilities is accompanied by detailed security guarantees, then it will be "a failure" for everyone. He said he did not see the need to make amends for the bitter altercation with Mr. Trump at the White House on Friday or to come up with a plan to save relations with the American president, though he reiterated his gratitude to the American people. He declined to comment when asked by the media about the UK's and France's proposal for a month-long "ceasefire in the air, sea and energy infrastructure" between Russia and Ukraine.
