Bitcoin mining revenue dropped by 5%, Jefferies report reveals mining companies' performance in August.
[Chain News] On September 16, it was reported that investment bank Jefferies stated in a report on Sunday that due to an increase in network computing power, Bitcoin mining profits fell by 5% last month. The analyst team led by Jonathan Petersen indicated that if the miners' computing power is 1 EH/s, the daily revenue in August was approximately $55,000, lower than July's $58,000 and last year's $44,000. In August, publicly listed mining companies mined a total of 3,573 Bitcoins, which is fewer than the 3,598 mined in July, and these miners accounted for 26% of the Bitcoin network's computing power, the same as in July. Among them, MARA Holdings (MARA) performed the best, producing 705,703 Bitcoins, with IREN following behind. In addition, MARA had the largest available computing power among these companies, at 59.4 EH/s, with CleanSpark closely behind at 50 EH/s.
