Trump claims to have ordered the sinking of the Hormuz oil tanker
U.S. President Trump today (April 23) posted on social media that he has ordered the U.S. Navy “to open fire and sink any ships laying mines in the Strait of Hormuz, even small vessels.” Trump called for an increase in mine-clearing efforts in the Strait of Hormuz. Trump also stated that U.S. mine countermeasure ships are currently conducting mine-clearing operations in the Strait of Hormuz, and he has ordered that these operations “must continue and be tripled in intensity.” (CCTV International News)
