if there is one thing 2026 has shown us
it is that memes will bounce back first and most aggressively once it becomes clear that $BTC and broader crypto momentum to the upside has returned
we saw it clearly with $USELESS, $PEPE, and $BONK in the first few days of this year, with all three pumping 50 - 100% in the span of days and putting in some of the most aggressive bounces we've seen from any altcoin in recent times
like it or not, memecoins are here to stay
no amount of pontificating from 'experts' and 'OGs', or denigrating them, will change this reality

$FLOKI seems to be gearing up for a major move
similar to what we had with $PEPE and $BONK in recent days
observing...

it feels good seeing memecoins getting the spotlight as soon as this year started:
- $BONK is literally up 40% on the day, which is incredible for a memecoin of BONK's calibre
- $PEPE has pumped 70% and added $1.3 billion since this year started
- $USELESS is up 100% from its December 31 night lows (fastest horse)
FWIW i think these are still early days and the memecoin rally will continue into the rest of this quarter
my view on the market is that the main action hasn't even started: @CoinMarketCap published a report earlier in which they said to expect the real move for crypto to come betwee

the biggest mistake many make when looking for assets to bet on is naively betting on lowest cap instead of betting on reflexivity
$PEPE pumped 50% in the first 48 hours of this year, adding almost $1 billion in market cap despite already being a large cap
$USELESS pumped 60% in the same duration, despite being a much lower-cap memecoin at around $100 million
what’s interesting is that several much smaller memecoins (i.e. in the $10m–$100m range) barely pumped 30% in the same period, despite being much lower caps than PEPE and even lower than USELESS
you would have outperformed by buying PEPE

some thoughts on the current January PA:
we started January bullish and everything has been pumping, with many established memes posting double-digit percentage gains daily
but i’d advise against being overly excited and abusing leverage here
a lot of memecoins and altcoins are extremely oversold anyway, so they’re relatively cheap and good enough for a DCA spot entry here
the current rally is just a test pump, showing many that memecoins are not dead and are going to bounce hard at some point
there’s going to be volatility and a massive pullback at some point, after which we should see the ma

just buy spot $USELESS and chill

i haven't really looked into what the fuss is all about (it probably won't even matter tbh!)
