Pi Network Kicks Off Final Testnet1 Upgrade Before Mainnet Launch

Pi Network Kicks Off Final Testnet1 Upgrade Before Mainnet Launch Pi Network has started the final upgrade of its Testnet1 blockchain, moving to version 23 in preparation for its mainnet transition. The introduction of the phased rollout is the final milestone of the testnet journey of the project that preconditions the wider introduction that may transform its ecosystem.

Pi Network Testnet Moves Toward v23

The upgrade to version 23 follows a series of earlier transitions from version 19 through version 22. Testnet1 is now fully aligned, while Testnet2 and the mainnet are expected to receive the same update in the coming weeks. Developers have warned users to expect brief service interruptions during this phase, though they will issue prior alerts to reduce disruption.

Pi Network Testnet Upgraded to Version 22

According to @PiCoreTeam, the Pi Network is gradually upgrading from protocol v19 to v23, covering Testnet, Testnet2, and Mainnet. Currently, the Testnet has been successfully upgraded to v22.

The shift is also reflected in Stellar adopting version 23, an indication that Pi Network wants to have compatibility with the protocol on which its blockchain is built. This synchronization will make sure that Pi will continue to be scalable and secure as it moves to its next stage. Meanwhile, account mapping has depicted significant improvement, and balances during the testnet can be easily transferred to the mainnet. According to community response, successful mappings have already been assured by many users, and this is an indication that it is ready to undergo transition.

Some of the most important additions to blockchain functionality and APIs in version 20 and later involved the staged upgrades. Every release put Pi Network on a tighter technical base. The network is now looking forward to version 23 with more stability, more consensus mechanisms, and more transaction capacity. What will soon become its live decentralized economy is built around these updates.

Why the Upgrade Matters for Pi Network

Version 23 is not a mere technical milestone. It enhances the capability of Pi Network to support the real-world transaction loads and maintain the system without stress. The developers and validators will further test the system with stress tests before the mainnet, but the modifications may trigger investor confidence even prior to the complete launch. For many in the community, this upgrade represents a turning point.

At the same time, Pi Network is expanding its global visibility. The project was recently confirmed as a gold sponsor of TOKEN2049 in Singapore. Early October will see the appearance of the co-founder of Pi, Dr. Chengdiao Fan, who will emphasize the position of Pi within the overall blockchain sector.

There is also emphasis on ecosystem development. Pi Network also seems interested in the gaming aspect of adoption, as a new DeFi-based farming game, PiOnline, has been introduced on the Pi Browser recently. With Testnet2 in the process of preparing its own v23 update, there is a sense of anticipation. An effective release would eventually open the decentralized utility Pi has assured millions of early adopters on Earth.
