Gate has launched the new "Red Packet" feature. Users can give away or receive red packets with customizable greetings and passphrases. The red packets have multiple themes and special kinds.
The "Red Packet" feature is currently only available on Gate app.
How to give away red packets
Step 1: Open Gate app and log in to your account. Click on your profile on the front page.
Step 2: Find "Gift Coins" in the "Moments" section and click.
Step 3: On the "Gift Coins" page, click on the "I want to send gift coins" button.
Step 4: On the "Give Away" page, enter the required information (currency/total amount/number of packets/theme). Then click on "Put it into the red envelope".
① Select currency (any currency that you have a sufficient amount of in your account)
② Enter the total amount of coins to be put into the envelope (10 CNY–3000 CNY)
③ Enter the number of packets (2–10,000)
④ Pick a theme. You can pick any theme you prefer.
This tutorial puts 1.52 GT in 2 packets with the "Happy 8th Anniversary!" theme as an example.
Step 5: On the "Passphrase settings" window, please set:
① If only new users are allowed to claim red packets:
② A random or a customized passphrase. Then confirm the giveaway after entering your fund password.
Note: The passphrase needs to have 6 to 20 characters. No symbols.

③ After setting the passphrase, click on "Generate Red Packets".
Note:
- Gift coins not claimed within 24 hours will be refunded to the sender.
- Max 5000 USDT per day for passphrase gift coins.
