GoldSense is taking over some of Meta Platforms’ development and design work for its mixed reality (MR) headset. This will allow Meta to reduce its work on developing MR hardware and focus on higher-profit software business. Previously, Meta was responsible for MR device design and GoldSense was responsible for manufacturing. A Meta spokesperson responded that the company is working with GoldSense, but the company will continue to design the headset as usual.
