Metaplanet announced its interim financial results for the fiscal year ending December 2025 (from January 1 to June 30) on August 13.

Sales amounted to 2.116 billion yen (a 1156.0% increase compared to the same period last year), with an operating profit of 1.409 billion yen (compared to a loss of 115 million yen in the same period last year).

Due to the inclusion of a Bitcoin valuation gain of 10 billion 350 million yen in non-operating income, the ordinary profit was 10 billion 650 million yen (compared to a loss of 176 million yen), and the interim net profit attributable to the parent company's shareholders was 6 billion 590 million yen (compared to a loss of 176 million yen).

This result is significantly influenced by the recovery of Bitcoin prices in the second quarter (April to June). According to data from CoinMarketCap, the price of Bitcoin denominated in Japanese yen rose from approximately 12.38 million yen as of April 1 to about 15.66 million yen by the end of the quarter on June 30.

In the first quarter (January to March) financial results, due to a temporary decline in Bitcoin prices, a valuation loss of 7.413 billion yen was recorded as non-operating expenses. As a result, the final profit and loss recorded a deficit of 5.046 billion yen.

As of the end of June 2025, the company's Bitcoin holdings were 13,350 BTC (currently 18,113 BTC). The total assets amount to 238,214,000,000 yen.
