Hollywood Stars Caught in NFT Scam - I'm Shocked, But Not Surprised
I've been watching this trainwreck unfold since day one. Kevin Hart, Madonna, Jimmy Fallon and that holier-than-thou Gwyneth Paltrow - all caught with their hands in the digital cookie jar, promoting those ridiculous Bored Ape NFTs to unsuspecting fans.
Let me tell you what really happened here. These celebs weren't just "sharing their interests" - they were getting paid under the table through Moonpay while ordinary people lost their shirts. The lawsuit filed in California exposes how these A-listers pumped worthless digital images to their followers, promising riches that never materialized.
Seeing BAYC NFTs crash 93% and ApeCoin plummet 90% doesn't surprise me one bit. The whole thing stank from the beginning. These celebrities were making secret deals while tweeting like they'd discovered digital gold. Meanwhile, Guy Oseary was pulling strings behind the scenes, recruiting his famous friends to shill these glorified JPEGs.
When confronted, Paltrow and her celebrity pals suddenly have "no comment." How convenient! And Yuga Labs' response? Calling the lawsuit "opportunistic and parasitic" - classic deflection from people caught in the act.
What kills me is this follows so soon after the FTX disaster that snared Tom Brady, Gisele, and Stephen Curry. Haven't celebrities learned anything? Or do they just not care about exploiting their fans?
The plaintiffs nailed it - this was a calculated campaign that generated billions for insiders while leaving regular investors holding worthless digital trash. These celebs should be ashamed, but I doubt they even understand what they've done.
I'm betting most of them never even understood what they were promoting. They just saw dollar signs, took the cash, and left their fans to deal with the consequences.
