Gone But Not Forgotten: Cheems, the Meme Legend

Abstract generation in progress

I still can't believe he's gone. My heart literally broke when I heard that Cheems passed away on August 18th after fighting blood cancer. Only 12 years old - way too young for a dog who gave us so many laughs and became the face of countless crypto memes during both bull runs and those soul-crushing bear markets.

If you've spent any time in crypto circles, you've seen this adorable Shiba Inu's face plastered across trading groups whenever the market tanked. That distinctive "bonk" expression captured exactly how I felt watching my portfolio drop 80% in 2022.

Honestly, I'm a bit mad that more trading platforms aren't acknowledging his passing. This dog was practically the unofficial mascot during market crashes! While the big exchanges were busy promoting their next IEO, Cheems was there, comforting us through volatility with his goofy expression.

The crypto community lost a silent hero. I scrolled through my old meme folder last night and found at least 30 Cheems images I'd saved during the last bear market - each one perfectly capturing that "what the hell is happening to my investments" feeling.

Say what you want about meme culture in crypto, but these shared jokes and symbols got many of us through the toughest market periods. Cheems was there when BTC dropped below $20K, when Luna collapsed, and through countless rug pulls.

Miss you already, good boy. The next market crash won't feel the same without you.
