When does the alt season come? Let's analyze the market signals.

Abstract generation in progress

Most crypto traders are waiting for the alt season as salvation. But what is it really and how not to miss the moment?

Alt season is not just the rise of altcoins

Alt season begins when altcoins (, everything except BTC), start to significantly outperform Bitcoin in terms of returns. It sounds simple, but in practice, it's more complicated:

  • Alt season indicator is the percentage ratio of altcoin market capitalization to the total cryptocurrency market capitalization.
  • When it grows, it's a signal: money flows from BTC into altcoins.
  • When it falls - altcoins lose interest, capital returns to the king

How it works in practice

Imagine: Bitcoin is growing by 20%, while top altcoins are up by 80-200%. This already looks like an alt season. The indicator shows the strength of this movement in numbers — a high percentage means that the altcoins are truly “on the moon”.

How to use this information

Traders catch the alt season by several rules:

  1. Watch the metrics — when the indicator sharply climbs up, it can be a signal.
  2. All that glitters is not gold — even in alt season, diversification is needed.
  3. Respect the risks — stop-losses and hedging are still in effect.

Alt season is a window of opportunities, but not a guarantee of profit. The crypto market remains volatile, so act wisely.
