Don't remind me again today

A buddy of mine just rage-quit the entire crypto game. Liquidated everything. Now? He's pointing fingers at me, claiming I'm the reason his portfolio went up in flames.

The last couple weeks have been brutal. My DMs are basically a war zone of people blaming me for "shilling" crypto to them. Every single day, another message rolls in.

Honestly? Reading through these messages is messing with my head. The guilt trip is real, even when you know markets do what markets do. Can't help but feel the weight of it all. 😭

Anyone else dealing with friends or family coming after them because the market turned south? How do you even handle that?

ngl this is why I basically don't talk about coins with the people around me anymore, to avoid being resented.

Why is it that no one blames you when they sell, but they blame you when they lose? This logic makes sense, right? --- In the end, it’s still a cognitive issue, not an information issue. The data is there, and the risks are there too. --- I think, other people's wallets are their own responsibility. You didn’t force them to go all in at gunpoint. --- Just treat this as background noise; when they make money, they will come back to you for advice. --- Technically speaking, risks always exist. If they don’t do their homework, they have to bear the consequences. It’s not fair to push it all onto you. --- An interesting observation is that when the market rises, no one says thank you, but when it falls, you become the sinner. --- You still need to draw a clear line. It’s advisable to write a memo for them to see that your advice is not investment guidance. --- From the perspective of source code analysis, this is the result of information asymmetry. You cannot change other people's decision-making mechanisms.
