The first words to 2026: May emotions recede and value emerge
If 2025 is a year dominated by emotions, then my first expectation for 2026 is: to let value take center stage again.
Web3 has never lacked excitement; what it lacks is calmness. Memes can ignite the market but cannot sustain a long-term ecosystem; narratives can boost valuations but cannot replace real cash flow. In 2026, I hope to see an industry restructuring after the emotions subside.
Capital will be more cautious, users will be more realistic, and project teams will be forced to face a question: if there are no subsidies or airdrops, will anyone still be willing to stay? This is not a bad thing for the entire industry, but a necessary filter.
My personal plan is also clearer because of this: reduce meaningless chasing of highs, increase focus on infrastructure, real revenue models, and long-term governance mechanisms. Slower, but more certain.
When global Web3 users look back from the same point in time, they might realize: the true opportunity to change fate often does not arise during the most frantic moments, but in the year everyone begins to consider whether it is worth it.
2026, I hope, will be the year of value return.
