Today I came across FB's FIP-101 proposal and I think there's something interesting.
In simple terms, they want to split the block rewards into three parts. In the future, besides merged mining and permissionless mining, running an index node will also earn rewards.
The participation threshold is quite friendly; ordinary users can just stake FB with Taproot scripts without giving their coins to others, and they can withdraw at any time.
They said they will upgrade the nodes on February 10th. It feels like this wave of the ecosystem is about to get moving. Stay tuned for updates.
