Intel states that the flagship model in this series, the Xeon 696X, offers up to 9% higher single-thread performance, up to 61% higher multi-thread performance, and up to 17% improvement in AI/ML performance compared to the previous high-end workstation processor, the Xeon W9-3595X.
The Xeon 600 series includes four branches: Xeon 69x/67x/65x/63x, with specific differences as follows:
Xeon 69x: Offers 86-core and 64-core variants, supports 8-channel memory, supports 8000MT/s MRDIMM, 128 PCIe lanes, all unlocked frequency, 350W;
Xeon 67x: Offers 48, 32, and 28-core variants, supports 8-channel memory, supports 8000MT/s MRDIMM, 128 PCIe lanes, all unlocked frequency, 270~300W;
Xeon 65x: Offers 24, 20, and 18-core variants, supports 8-channel memory, does not support MRDIMM, 128 PCIe lanes, some unlocked frequency, 200~250W;
Xeon 63x: Offers 16-core and 12-core variants, supports 4-channel memory, does not support MRDIMM, 80 PCIe lanes, all locked frequency, 150~180W.
Intel states that the Xeon 600 series workstation processors will be available from late March 2026 through partners or in standalone box formats.
