Abstract generation in progress

Odaily Planet Daily reports that Evan Sui, CEO of Mysten Labs, stated in a recent interview that he does not agree with the so-called “bear markets are good, keep building” rhetoric. In fact, bear markets are not “great” and are not worth celebrating or boasting about. Volatility is not just about “cleansing the market”; it can scare away builders and users, leading to a smaller talent pool and slower adoption. While some teams may focus more during a bear market, framing it as beneficial for everyone ignores the real costs and can harm the long-term development of the crypto industry. During downturns, many people lose their savings, cash flow is disrupted, and even strong teams may struggle to survive, causing real harm to many.
