Southwest Airlines announced it is discontinuing service at Chicago O’Hare International Airport and Washington Dulles, effective June 4. The company cited “challenging” operations at O’Hare but assured that its “robust” service at Chicago Midway International Airport, where it has operated for 41 years, will continue. Affected employees will have opportunities to transfer within the company’s network, including to Midway for Chicago-based staff.
