Alibaba Launches New AI Business Group Named Token

On the evening of March 16, Alibaba (09988.HK) announced the establishment of the Alibaba Token Hub (ATH) business group, integrating the original Tongyi Laboratory, MaaS business line, Qianwen Business Unit, Wukong Business Unit, and AI Innovation Business Unit. The group covers everything from foundational model research and development, model service platforms, to AI applications for individuals and enterprises, directly overseen by Alibaba CEO Wu Yongming.

Seedance 2.0 International Release Delayed

On March 16, Caixin confirmed from an insider close to ByteDance that ByteDance has decided to postpone the global release of its AI video generation model Seedance 2.0. Since its release, issues regarding copyright use of Seedance 2.0 have attracted attention from Hollywood industry associations, multiple film and television companies, and even the Japanese government.
