At the Guangzhou Conghua District High-Quality Development Conference held today, the Hong Kong Jockey Club announced that regular international standard horse racing events will take place at Conghua Racecourse this October. In addition to the races and team competitions, a series of horse-themed cultural, sports, tourism, and carnival activities will be created. Equestrian sports will become a key driver in transforming Conghua District into a tourist destination, while also promoting consumption across cultural, sports, and tourism sectors, boosting the entire horse industry value chain, and injecting new momentum into the Greater Bay Area’s growth. It will also support Guangdong’s “Hundred, Thousand, Ten Thousand Project.” Looking ahead, the Hong Kong Jockey Club will continue to leverage its expertise and international connections to fully support the implementation of national policies and goals, using Conghua Racecourse as a platform to drive local economic development.
