Abstract generation in progress

Nvidia, the AI chip giant, announced at the GTC conference that it will collaborate with BYD (01211), Geely (00175), Hyundai Motor, Nissan, Isuzu, and other automakers to develop L4 autonomous vehicles on the NVIDIA DRIVE Hyperion autonomous driving platform.

BYD, Geely, and Nissan are developing next-generation L4 passenger car autonomous driving projects based on NVIDIA DRIVE Hyperion’s production-grade computing and sensor architecture, covering high-level autonomous capabilities in complex urban road scenarios. Isuzu and TIER IV are also utilizing the platform’s core component, DRIVE AGX Thor chips, to develop L4 autonomous buses, aiming to provide safe, scalable driverless solutions for public transportation and commercial logistics.

Nvidia and Uber Promote Autonomous Vehicle Fleets

In the travel services sector, Nvidia is pushing for large-scale deployment of software-defined autonomous taxis (Robotaxis). Nvidia and Uber announced an expanded partnership, with autonomous vehicle fleets set to launch in Los Angeles and the San Francisco Bay Area in the first half of 2027. They plan to roll out fully NVIDIA DRIVE AV software-driven autonomous fleets across 28 cities on four continents by 2028. Global travel giants like Bolt, Grab, and Lyft are also accelerating their autonomous driving businesses using the DRIVE Hyperion platform.

DRIVE Hyperion is a production-ready reference architecture that integrates high-performance computing, standardized sensor suites, networking systems, and security frameworks. It helps automakers significantly shorten the verification cycle for L4 autonomous driving systems and enables large-scale deployment worldwide.
