Beijing News Shell Finance News (Reporter Luo Yidan) — On March 17, Baidu’s “Lobster” all-in-one package was officially unveiled, including new products such as “Cloud Lobster,” “Mobile Lobster,” “Security Lobster,” and “Desktop Lobster.” The most eye-catching is the world’s first “Home Use Little Lobster” — Xiaodu Lobster.

The reporter noted that this product integrates OpenClaw’s capabilities into Xiaodu smart speakers, bringing “Lobster” into the home environment. According to the company, Xiaodu Lobster enables natural voice interactions, allowing users to initiate complex tasks with just their voice, significantly lowering the barrier to using AI Agents and truly making them “available anytime.” With Xiaodu devices, Xiaodu Lobster is no longer limited to personal devices but becomes a shared household assistant usable by the whole family.

In terms of capabilities, Xiaodu Lobster has achieved a “closed-loop” full-chain connection of online and offline tasks, capable of automatically completing complex tasks across devices and applications. During a demonstration, an operator said, “Xiaodu Xiaodu, help me order a McDonald’s coffee,” and Xiaodu Lobster responded quickly, automatically accessing relevant applications and completing the order.

Additionally, it is worth noting that, according to data from OpenClaw’s official skill store ClawHub, the number of downloads for Baidu Search Skills has exceeded 45,000, with rapid growth compared to a week ago, making it the most downloaded official search engine skill plugin on the ClawHub platform globally.

Shen Dou, Executive Vice President of Baidu Group and President of Baidu Intelligent Cloud Business Group, stated that the explosive popularity of OpenClaw reveals three possible trends: First, at the application level, a thriving Skills ecosystem will make traditional software applications more fragmented. Second, at the model level, interaction data with OpenClaw will further enhance the model’s capabilities, creating a positive feedback loop. Lastly, OpenClaw still has significant room for improvement; in the future, it will break down more barriers to form a more integrated ecosystem, bringing lower costs and better results.
