National Bureau of Statistics: Oil and Natural Gas Extraction Industry Grew 5.8% in January-February

According to the National Bureau of Statistics, from January to February, out of 41 major industry categories, 35 experienced year-on-year growth in added value. Among them, coal mining and washing industry increased by 7.2%, oil and natural gas extraction industry grew by 5.8%, agricultural and sideline food processing industry rose by 6.1%, alcohol, beverage, and refined tea manufacturing increased by 4.3%, textile industry grew by 5.3%, chemical raw materials and chemical products manufacturing industry rose by 7.6%, non-metallic mineral products industry increased by 2.5%, ferrous metal smelting and rolling processing industry grew by 2.2%, non-ferrous metal smelting and rolling processing industry increased by 3.9%, general equipment manufacturing industry grew by 8.9%, specialized equipment manufacturing industry increased by 8.8%, automobile manufacturing industry grew by 3.4%, railway, ship, aerospace, and other transportation equipment manufacturing increased by 13.7%, electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing grew by 8.7%, computer, communication, and other electronic equipment manufacturing increased by 14.2%, and power, heat production, and supply industry grew by 5.1%.
