Abstract generation in progress

The UK’s Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has launched an investigation into data sharing practices involving data firm CoStar and major hotel chains Hilton Worldwide Holdings, Marriott International, and IHG Hotels & Resorts. The probe aims to determine if the companies used CoStar’s STR data analytics tool to make commercial decisions that could affect competition and harm consumers. This investigation follows a dismissed U.S. lawsuit against STR and several hotel companies regarding alleged price-fixing.
