Startup Niv-AI announced the completion of a $12 million seed round funding aimed at addressing power efficiency issues in artificial intelligence data centers. The company was founded by Chief Executive Officer Tomer Timor and Chief Technology Officer Edward Kizis, and is dedicated to developing sensors and tools to measure and manage GPU power consumption with millisecond-level precision, thereby avoiding the currently high-cost frequency reduction or energy storage measures used to cope with power surges. Niv-AI plans to deploy an artificial intelligence "co-pilot" system to predict and synchronize power loads, with the system expected to be operational in U.S. data centers within six to eight months.
