Google has extended its "Personal AI" features (previously limited to paid users) for free to all US users. This artificial intelligence assistant is available in Search's "AI mode," the Gemini app, and Chrome browser, and can now customize responses by accessing user data from Google services like Gmail and Google Photos. For example, it can recommend vacation itineraries based on hotel booking information or suggest products based on users' past purchases and style preferences. Google states that this feature is enabled by default and will not directly use users' personal emails or photo libraries for training.
