Shanghai—Tashkent Direct Flight Route Coming Soon

Starting March 30, 2026, China Eastern Airlines will officially launch direct flights between Shanghai and Tashkent. This route is an important step following the launch of the Xi’an-Tashkent route in 2025, further serving the high-quality joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative and deepening connectivity between China and Central Asia. It expands the “air corridor” centered in Shanghai and oriented toward Central Asia, injecting new momentum into economic and trade cooperation, cultural exchanges, and tourism interactions between the two regions.
