The International Automobile Federation (FIA) announced that the lack of visibility caused by the level of precipitation and standing water in multiple sectors of the circuit made conditions unsafe for racing. The session was moved to Sunday morning, allowing weather conditions to improve and provide a safer window for drivers to run.
