Complete Guide: How to Collect Pensions and Retirement Benefits Through Anses

The National Social Security Administration (Anses) manages pension and retirement payments in Argentina, regularly processing deposits into beneficiaries’ bank accounts. These beneficiaries should be aware of the available procedures to check their data, access their information, and make changes to their accounts when necessary.

Retirements and pensions represent a system of periodic transfers that are updated monthly according to the criteria established by the agency. Digital access to these services requires a Social Security Key, which allows beneficiaries to manage their data directly from the official portal.

Categories of retirements and pensions managed by Anses

Anses administers multiple retirement and pension programs aimed at different sectors of the population. Beneficiaries with document numbers ending in 8 and 9 receive amounts exceeding $359,254.34, with a maximum cap of $2,417,441.64.

In addition to regular retirement and pension programs, Anses also processes Unemployment Benefit payments for document numbers ending in 6 and 7. Single Payment Allocations (marriage, adoption, and birth) are available for all document endings, with payment periods from February 10 to March 12.

Non-Contributory Pension Family Allowances operate similarly, allowing beneficiaries to withdraw their payments without restriction based on the last digit of their document. This sector began payments on February 9, extending until March 12.

Obtain your Social Security Key to manage retirements and pensions

Access to digital procedures requires an active Social Security Key. Interested individuals can manage this code through the My Anses portal via a straightforward process that does not require intermediaries.

Steps to obtain the key:

  1. Enter the official Anses website
  2. Go to the My Anses section
  3. Select the “Create your key” option
  4. Accept the established security policies
  5. Enter your CUIL number and DNI transaction number
  6. Answer security questions with personal data
  7. Choose a password between eight and 12 characters, including at least one number
  8. Confirm the chosen password to activate it

Once this process is completed, your Social Security Key will be active, and you can access all retirement and pension-related services available on the platform.

Check your benefit details

Social program beneficiaries verify their payment data through Anses’s official channels. The system allows precise knowledge of the fund availability date and the branch assigned for withdrawal.

The consultation process involves:

  1. Visiting the official Anses website
  2. Filling out the form with your benefit number or CUIL
  3. Clicking the “Consult” button

The system displays detailed information about the payment location and the availability period. The report specifies from the first day the benefit is available until the deadline to receive the assistance without issues.

Options to change your payment location

Retirement and pension holders have the right to modify the payment entity where they withdraw their funds. The choice includes banks authorized by Anses or Argentinian Post Office branches in rural areas without banking coverage.

The process requires prior completion of the first payment at the original entity. The request for change can be made via three methods: online, by calling 130, or in person with an appointment.

For digital management, the CUIL and Social Security Key are required. The steps on the platform are:

  • Enter the “Payments” section within My Anses
  • Select the “Change payment location” option
  • Complete the form with the details of the new entity where you want to receive your funds

Anses processes the request and updates the information for subsequent payment periods. This flexibility allows retirement and pension beneficiaries to adapt their payments to their geographic convenience, banking preference, or personal situation, ensuring access to their benefits without unnecessary limitations.
