Recently, I seriously decided to clean the exterior walls and balcony of my house, so I tried various pressure washers. In conclusion, I realized that choosing based on the balance between pressure strength and ease of use is the right approach.

Among the ones I tested, the Karcher K3 left a strong impression. It has more than 11 times the pressure of a standard garden hose, yet the noise level is around 75dB, so you don’t have to worry too much about disturbing neighbors even at night. It also has a wide cleaning area, so cleaning the exterior walls of a single-family home can be done in a day. However, it costs over 30,000 yen.

If you’re budget-conscious, Makita’s high-performance model is quite good. It provides enough power with 8 times the pressure and also has high water-saving performance. The cleaning area is relatively wide at 594cm², so in terms of cost performance, I think this one is better.

For those prioritizing power, there are models from RYOBI and BOSCH with over 12 times the pressure, but they tend to be noisier. In residential neighborhoods, use might be limited to daytime only.

There are also cordless models available, but since their cleaning area is smaller, a wired one is more practical for large surfaces. Another surprisingly important factor is the nozzle type. Models with a wide range of included accessories allow you to switch according to the task, making them more versatile and long-lasting.

All the top-ranked models offer a certain level of pressure and cleaning performance, so I think the final choice depends on balancing noise, portability, and budget.
