Oman Signs Agreement to Not Charge Vessels Passing Through the Strait of Hormuz

On April 8, local time, Oman’s Minister of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology, Mawali, stated during a negotiation meeting that Oman has signed an agreement related to international shipping. According to the agreement, the Strait of Hormuz is recognized as a natural passage, and no fees can be charged to vessels passing through. He also noted that the Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs is currently communicating and negotiating with various parties regarding related issues. (CCTV News)
