People's Financial News, April 8 — At midday, the Hong Kong stock market closed with the Hang Seng Index up 2.82% and the Hang Seng Tech Index up 4.42%. The semiconductor sector led the gains, with Huahong Semiconductor rising over 14%, Tianyue Advanced up over 13%, Lankei Technology up over 11%, SMIC and Shanghai Fudan both up over 8%.
