The largest single-site photovoltaic project in Southeast Asia developed by our country has been put into operation.

People’s Finance News, April 7. Today (April 7), the first phase of a 1-million-kilowatt photovoltaic project at the China General Nuclear (CGN) Laos Northern Interconnection and Clean Energy Base—developed and built in our country and the largest single PV project in Southeast Asia—was officially put into operation. It is understood that this project is Laos’ first large-scale mountainous photovoltaic project. After the first phase comes online, it is expected to generate an average annual electricity output of about 1.65 billion kilowatt-hours. It is also expected to equivalently save about 500k tons of standard coal and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 1.3 million tons. (CCTV News)
