“Truly astonishing!” Musk’s mother toured the Great Wall, shared a video, and checked in at a cultural-and-creative ice cream shop

Maye Musk, the mother of American tech entrepreneur Elon Musk, shared a video of her trip to the Great Wall on the social platform X on March 27. Maye Musk not only checked in at the iconic stone stele at the Badaling Scenic Area, but also specifically bought a chocolate-flavored, Great Wall-shaped creative snow cone.

In the post that day, Maye Musk said the trip was “great,” adding that “seeing those magnificent defensive works, watchtowers, and fortresses up close is astounding.” She also asked at the end of her caption: “By the way, what do you think of the Great Wall ice cream?”

Maye Musk began her visit to China in late March. On March 22, she gave a talk at Tsinghua University and toured the campus.
