Wu learned that Fuel announced that its native token FUEL will be launched within the next two weeks. FUEL is an ERC-20 token based on the Ethereum Mainnet, with a total initial supply of 10 billion, 20% of which will be allocated to the community. FUEL will be released to the community based on eligibility criteria such as Fuel Points Plan and incentive testnet, with the community portion being fully unlocked upon launch. Fuel emphasizes that 51% of the total supply will be used for community, ecosystem, and development, while the remaining tokens will be used to support the establishment of the sorting network. In addition, tokens held by the team and investors will be linearly unlocked within 24 to 48 months and staking will be prohibited during the lock-up period. Previously, Fuel completed an $80 million financing round led by Blockchain Capital and Stratos in September 2022.
