Decentralized mapping network Hivemapper just dropped news about their RFP funding program, teaming up with Solana Mobile. They're putting resources behind developers who want to build on top of their network infrastructure. First round of proposals is apparently opening soon for projects ready to tap into location-based Web3 applications.

The Solana ecosystem is once again crazily siphoning off resources. Is Hivemapper trying to take advantage of this trend? However, using location data for Web3 is indeed interesting; it's just uncertain how many of these can truly be implemented.
