Crypto Price Today (April 9, 2025)

Amid the escalating tariff war, crypto market has continued downtrading with ETH today taking a major hit and dipping below $1,400 for the first time since March 2023. Bitcoin (BTC), Solana (SOL) and XRP have also dropped significantly with trading near major support levels.

Just when the analysts were expecting a strong bounce and the market was recovering slightly, Trump’s bold move of imposing 104% tariff on China pulled back Bitcoin with it falling to $74,600 from the daily high above $78k.

At the time of writing, Bitcoin price is trading near $76,800 – down 2.80% – with a 24 hour trading volume of $57.83 billion.

Ethereum (ETH) is taking massive hits in an increased selling pressure with it dumping as low as $1,396 from the daily high of $1,580 – marking a drop of 13% in the past 24 hours. At the time of writing ETH price is trading near $1,445 with a trading volume of $29.4 billion.

Similarly, XRP has also dropped 8% with it now trading at $1.77 price mark. Other leading altcoins like SOL, ADA and DOGE have declined 7% in the past 24 hours.

In the top gaining list today, NEO blockchain’s GAS token is leading with a mammoth surge of 38% while NEO price surging decently to 8% in the past 24 hours. On the losing side, AB token is on top with seeing 14% decline while GRASS, BERA, NEAR and FARTCOIN have fallen nearly 12% today.
