CoinVoice has recently learned that, according to a report by Cointelegraph, the official X (formerly Twitter) account of the New York Post is suspected of being hacked. Multiple users from the Crypto Assets community have received unauthorized direct messages from this account, with the scammers impersonating journalists inviting users to participate in a podcast and directing them to Telegram.
According to Alex Katz, the founder and CEO of Kerberus, after gaining unauthorized access, the scammers did not publish common wallet theft links but instead guided users to Telegram via private messages. To prevent the New York Post team from discovering the account was compromised, the scammers would block user replies after sending out the latest information.
