Malaysian authorities have established a joint air-ground task force, using high-tech drones and ground police to locate and shut down nearly 14,000 illegal Bitcoin mining machines. According to reports, these illegal miners have stolen electricity worth $1.1 billion from the national grid since 2020. The national power company, Tenaga Nasional (TNB), pointed out that these thefts pose challenges to the system and could even disrupt facilities.
