The Ledger research team has discovered vulnerabilities in widely used Android smartphone processor chips, which may expose Web3 users who rely on software wallets to physical attack risks. Ledger's Donjon team demonstrated a successful hardware fault injection attack, bypassing core security checks and gaining full control over the Mediatek Dimensity 7300 chip. Ledger emphasized that even the most advanced smartphone chips are susceptible to physical attacks, and relying solely on smartphone hot wallets to protect private keys carries risks. (TheBlock)
