What is blockchain in simple words? A thread 🧵
Blockchain is like a shared notebook on the internet that anyone can check, but no one can secretly change.
Instead of one company owning the notebook, thousands of computers around the world have the same copy.
Every time something happens (like sending crypto), it’s written as a new page in the notebook.
That page = a block.
Each new block is linked to the previous one.
That’s why it’s called a block + chain = blockchain.
Once a page is added, it’s almost impossible to erase or edit it without everyone noticing.
This means:
✅ No cheating
✅ No fake records
✅ No need to trust one middleman
Bitcoin uses blockchain to send money without banks.
Ethereum uses it to run apps and smart contracts.
Simple example:
Imagine Google Docs, but:
•Everyone sees it
•No one can secretly edit it
•History is permanent
That’s why blockchain is powerful:
It creates trust without needing trust.
Blockchain isn’t just crypto.
It’s a new way to record ownership, value, and data.
