The new X algorithm has been open-sourced, and Elon Musk stated that it will continue to be significantly improved.
The X platform engineering team announced that the new X algorithm has been open-sourced, adopting the same Transformer architecture as the Grok model under xAI. Musk commented, "We know this algorithm is clumsy and needs major improvements, but at least you can see the process of our efforts to improve it in real-time and transparently. Other social media companies haven't done this."
Earlier, on January 11, Musk announced that the new X platform algorithm would be open-sourced within 7 days, including all code used to determine which natural search content and advertisements are recommended to users. This process will be repeated every four weeks and will include detailed developer documentation. Previously, posts related to "cryptocurrency" were blocked by the X platform algorithm, sparking discussions within the crypto community.
